This is an audio post. Why? Because sometimes I just don't have time to write it all down. Leave a comment and let me know what you think of this option.
Hi John, I'm digging the audio blog. My favorite lunch is Tuna Salad. My favorite cafeteria staffer is Mrs. Sidwar. Best, Erica Living In LoCo blog www.LoudounExtra.com
I like the audio blog. I prefer text (I'm more of a text person by nature) but in a situation where you don't have time or ability to do text, I think the audio is great.
Wouldn't an LCPS audio blog have been fantastic on Wednesday afternoon?
It's quick to do and quick to post - great in a situation where time is of the essence.
The audio blog is fine, and I certainly understand your reasons for posting this way, but audio is inappropriate for the work setting, so that might be one very small strike against it; otherwise, very inventive!
John: Outstanding! Keep pushing the technology forward, and setting the example for LCPS. I like this: "Wouldn't an LCPS audio blog have been fantastic on Wednesday afternoon?" -- Your readers are one smart bunch!
Audio blogs are great for content that doesn't need to be searched and where ambiance and tenor are important.
However, your time savings in creating the blog is offset by the collective decrease in efficiency of visitors since listening is ten times slower than reading.
When you do use audio blogs (either because you don't have time to write or audio provides richer content than written text) please provide some text markers. For example a more descriptive title than "Video Blog" along with a bullet list of the topics covered would make it easier to process quickly.
Usually I prefer a written blog but I'd rather have an audio one than nothing at all. Speech-to-text is the technological solution.

Probably a way to do it from your cell phone.
