Superintendent Recommends new Grading Scale

Recommended Ten-Point Grading Scale for LCPS

Key points:
  • "Minus" grades are restored (A-, B- etc.)
  • Top GPA grade available: 4.3 (for A+).
  • Full 10-point D (60-69). Some districts have a 5-point D, F is below 65.
  • Retroactive implementation is not recommended
The Superintendent will present this recommendation to the School Board at tonight's meeting. The Board will vote at a future meeting.

  1. Why do we need to pay Hatrick so much money if he's just going to follow the lead of Fairfax County on every issue? Where's the "leadership"? Or did he pick this idea up on one of his many trips abroad?

  2. How much longer are they going to drag this out? I for one am tired of it. Why can't they just vote already?
